Abstract
Bioterrorism is described as the intentional dissemination of biological agents by people, groups or governments among people, animals and plants in order to develop an illness or to kill with the purpose of obtaining ideological, political, religious or economical gains. Emergency departments are the places that are most likely affected from such attacks while treating victims. Therefore, physicians in the emergency departments should be well-informed about the agents used in bioterrorism and the possible symptoms they cause. This paper gives succinct information about bioterrorism and anthrax, which is considered among the biological weapons used in bioterrorism.
